Pay for the people Roster resolves. Nothing else.

Roster is priced on one thing: the resolvable humans in your directory — the people it can route work to. Resolutions, projects, participants, delegations, AI agents, and service accounts are unlimited on every plan, including Free.

Designed for agent adoption.

The billable unit is the human routing surface, not usage. Agents call Roster as much as they need.

Directory size is not billable

Connecting Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace, Workday, LDAP or CSV does not make everyone in it count. A human counts only when wired into a project as a routing target.

Agents are free to call Roster

AI agents, service accounts, API calls, MCP tools and resolutions are unlimited. No developer needs to think about marginal cost.

Local count, no phone-home

Your plan is enforced locally with an offline license key.

Pricing & the resolvable-human metric(6)
What exactly is a resolvable human?

A directory record of type user — a real person Roster can route work to. Team members who operate Roster, AI agents, and service accounts don't count against your plan.

Does my whole company count?

No. Only the people you wire in as routing targets count. Connecting a directory doesn't make everyone in it a resolvable human — attaching them to a project does. Most customers scope to their approvers, owners, and on-call staff.

How do I estimate how many I'll have?

Add up the distinct people named — directly or through roles, groups, and delegations — across your live projects. That's your count.

Do AI agents really cost nothing?

Correct. AI agents and service accounts are unlimited on every plan and never count toward your resolvable-human total. Deploy as many as you want.

What happens as we add resolvable humans?

Above the 100 included on Pro, additional humans are priced progressively — the rate per person drops as you grow. Past 1,000, that's Enterprise.

How does counting work — is there a phone-home?

Counting is local to your deployment. Roster does not phone home.

Billing & subscription(7)
How am I billed?

Pro is billed annually in USD via secure checkout. Your card is charged for the full year up front based on the resolvable-human count you configure. You receive a paid invoice by email and can download invoices any time from the account portal.

How do I upgrade — add more humans?

Open the account portal and reconfigure your plan. Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated against the remainder of your annual term, so you only pay the difference until renewal.

How do downgrades work?

You can lower your resolvable-human count at any time from the account portal. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal — your current term keeps the level you already paid for, and no partial refunds are issued mid-term.

How do I cancel?

Cancel anytime from the account portal. Your subscription remains active through the end of the paid term — Roster continues to run and your license stays valid until that date — and simply does not renew. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused time.

What happens if my payment fails?

We retry the card automatically over several days and email you each attempt. Roster keeps resolving throughout — we never block a workflow on a billing issue. If all retries fail, the subscription lapses at the end of the paid term and your license enters read-only mode until you update payment.

Can I get a refund?

All annual subscriptions are non-refundable once the term has started. If something is broken on our side, contact support and we'll make it right.

Where do I manage my subscription, invoices, and payment method?

Sign in and open the client portal. From there you can reconfigure your plan, update your card, download invoices and receipts, change billing email, and cancel.

Support(1)
What support is included on Free, Pro, and Enterprise?

Free is community and documentation only — no ticketed support. Pro includes Standard support: email, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM ET Mon–Fri, 2 business-day first response. Enterprise includes contractual SLAs, named contacts, and resolution-time commitments negotiated per agreement.

Deployment & product(4)
What's an instance?

A single Roster deployment — one container with its own data. Every plan includes one. Need more — for separate environments, regions, or air-gapped networks? Contact us to purchase additional instances.

Which LLM does Roster use?

Bring your own. Roster supports OpenAI, Anthropic, and Mistral directly, with others via gateway. You pay tokens to your provider; Roster never marks them up.

Where does data live, and can Roster run air-gapped?

Roster is self-hosted — your directory data stays on your infrastructure. Air-gapped deployment is supported. Managed cloud hosting is available on Enterprise on request.

How long does deployment take, and what do I need on day one?

Roster ships as a single Docker container with embedded storage — no external database. You need a container host, a directory source (Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace, Workday, LDAP, or a CSV to start), and an LLM key.

Start with a real pilot. Free.

Deploy the full resolution product self-hosted, route work to up to 20 resolvable humans, then grow when your rollout proves value.
